Collection: bread knife

Although a bread knife is primarily designed for slicing bread, there are other uses in the kitchen as well. The serrated blade of the bread knife is great for slicing foods with a hard outer shell or a soft inner texture, such as tomatoes, melons, cheese with a hard rind, and even pie or cake. The teeth of the blade can easily cut through these foods, helping them hold their shape and present beautifully. Many also use bread knives for slicing meat, especially roasted or grilled meats with a crispy crust that can be difficult to cut.
